The flash of orange underneath the front storm cover is recognition to the Kea Parrot which is native to the New Zealand Alps and is the only true mountain Parrot in existence.

The Ridgeline Kea Women's Jacket was developed to highlight the plight of the famous Kea parrot that lives in the New Zealand Alps on the South Island. It was heavily hunted to near extinction in the last century but is now protected helping this amazing parrot thrive in its native home of the South Island.
